PETALUMA ROTARY WASH PROGRAM

GUATEMALA WASH PROGRAM

A WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) Project in Guatemala in the highland villages surrounding Lake Atitlan. There are over 400,000 people living in many small villages in the highlands. Due to the lack of toilets and sanitation facilities for the people the Lake, which is a main source of water for the people, has become very contaminated. One project targeted several of the villages providing toilet facilities for a number of school and sourcing and filtering clean water for the families, along with sanitation education.
