Grant Application Information

The Rotary Club of Petaluma has the ability to make grants available for projects that benefit our community. Within the Petaluma community we explore for a major beneficiary or beneficiaries through our Rotary Club of Petaluma Foundation, by soliciting grant applications from the Petaluma community.

In addition to our Club outreach if your organization has a project that you would like us to consider, we encourage you to contact a member of the Rotary Club of Petaluma to discuss your need and apply.

Applications made to the Rotary Club of Petaluma Foundation will be reviewed as soon as possible. In some cases we are able to fund grants quickly, and in others, depending on the time of the year and funds availability we may hold onto your application, or we may talk with you about exploring the possibility of joint fundraising activities.

Once completed, we will review your application and get back with you ASAP to discuss potential further steps.

Please make your application package as complete as possible. The Rotary Foundation board will determine which applicants will be selected for consideration on an ongoing basis.

Currently, there is no fixed timeline for consideration of grant applications. Local organizations may apply for grants at any time.

Project Evaluation Criteria:
● Targeted Groups: Youth, seniors, public services, social services.
● Funding Target: Projects should fulfill an economic need that is not adequately funded.
● Project Types: An emphasis is placed on tangible, physical projects.
● Target Area: The greater Petaluma community.
● Funding Amounts: We look to award funds for projects from $1,000 to $5,000.
● Recognition: Project offers opportunities for public recognition of the Rotary Club of Petaluma.
● Participation: Project may offer opportunities for participation by the Rotary Club of Petaluma.
● Sponsoring Rotarian: Sponsoring Rotarian input will be considered in our evaluation.
